Community training Center and Crisis Management

Representative in seminars: Mrs. Yasmin Al Abbadi- project coordinator

Association mission: Community Training Center and Crisis Management is Non Governmental Organization concern about psychological and social affairs for individual, family and society especially in the difficult circumstances and increments of the pressure on the Palestinian people, which lead to crisis at the family, community relations and causes physical symptoms illness.

Main goal: To participate in the psychological, social health and educational development of Palestinian society.

Objectives:
1- To spread the awareness of psychological family and peace and  to participate in conflict resolutions of individual , families and society.
2- Establish technical and professional team to manage the individual, family and community crisis that face the Palestinian society.
3- Raise the awareness of the parents and provide them with information about the difficult circumstance’s impression and its effects an their children and also provide them with the mechanism’s pressure.
4- Providing social workless, parents, teachers with professional information about the children needs and how to deal with them.
5- Support safe psychological and behavioral growing for Palestinian by entertainment and educational programs at kindergartens, schools, and Universities.
6- To provide services of psychological and social support for youth facing problems through empowerment mechanisms for daily crisis.
7- Support groups and individuals working with youth issues in local community to enable them to deal in professional way with the youth crisis.
8- Activate the voluntary work and the role of youth to promote the awareness of Palestinian family.
9- Prepare and support the pre-marriage youth to how to adapt with the changes needed for this stage in life.
10- Activate the Professional Communication between community devilment organization and exchange experiences.
11- Execute studies and researches concerning the psychological and social issues of Palestinian society and exchange experiences through participation at the local and international  training conferences, workshops and youth exchange programs.
12- Evaluate students of schools and Universities through Test and Measurement Unit.

Civil Independent Volunteer Initiative Towards Achieving Sustainability

Representative in seminars: MR. Maher Issa – Director General Civitas is a Palestinian non-profit and non-partisan organization was established in Gaza in December 2001 as an initiative of democrats, young community leaders, journalists, activists, and human rights and civil society advocators. Civitas aims at achieving sustainable community development through many strategies that aim to empower civil society through increasing awareness, advocacy programs, leadership & institutional development, seeking independent media, supporting local and voluntary initiatives, and organizing communities by capacity building and experiences exchange. Furthermore, Civitas looks forward to strengthen and broaden the civil society space and to enhance civil and democratic practices and principles towards democratization and good governance in the Palestinian Society.

Civitas is dedicated to the success of democracy in Palestine and the prospect that each person in every corner of the country is entitled to have a free and informed say in how he or she is governed. Civitas recognizes that democratic governance is an evolving and dynamic process, created by and meeting the needs of the people, it serves. Civitas provides professional advice and technical assistance in promoting democracy and serves as an information-clearing house on democratic development.

Civitas seeks for compliance its goals through empowering civil society principles and grouping all efforts of those who believe and are involved in the community democratization process.

Civitas sees that reform and development as a corner stone element and factor that can carry out the change and shaping a better future to Palestinian society through education, training, empowerment, and a government watch dog.

Civitas aims to achieve the following goals:
• Expanding and deepening democratic practices, principles, and behaviors among Palestinians.
• Achieving social change through leadership development among new generations.
• Building capacities of Palestinian institutions and strengthening the relations between different sectors of the Palestinian society.
• Empowering civil initiatives and networking them to broaden civil space for community participation and advocacy. • Achieving consensus among Palestinians through providing civic forums and platforms for community leaders and their grassroots.
• Enhancing transparency and valued ethics among Palestinian communities and institutions.

Palestinian National Association for Youth

Representative in seminars: MR. Osama Mortaja – Executive Director Palestinian National Association for Youth was founded in 2002 in Gaza City, and is a non-profit organization working in development of the capacity of Palestinian youth.

Vision: A unique organization that works to create a distinguished and developed young model that will contribute to the development of Palestinian society.

Mission: To contribute to the development and empowerment of Palestinian youth and activating their role in the development process through the following development programs: – Capacity-building and research program, studies and community development program for youth and information technology program and cultural program and entertainment. – The Assembly is committed to the principles of human rights and the participation of marginalized groups and their integration into society.

Strategy: To trace their sources of funding for projects that meet the needs of the target group. To enable university students and identify their needs and develop their abilities. Developing and activating the cultural center. Encourage and promote the concepts of volunteerism among young people. Co-ordination and networking with youth organizations and international convergence of in the objectives and programs.

Values Young people are the backbone of the country and were responsible for the building and the development. It’s a significant need to give young people their right to participate and express an opinion on all issues of concern to the community. The promotion of civic education and cultural development is the need to strengthen the sense of belonging to society. General integrated with all existing youth institutions and not a substitute for any of them.

The main objective of the Assembly: Working to create a model and developed a distinct youth in building the Palestinian society.

Objectives:
1 – contributes to building the capacity of staff in the Assembly and youth and youth organizations partners.
2 – Contribute to improving the level of knowledge of information technology and to provide all that is new for young people and students.
3 – Contributing to the development of talented youth and encourage the level of their creativity.
4 – To contribute to raising the level of scientific research among young people, especially university students, in line with the methods of scientific research.

Asalah organization for Popular Heritage and Development

Representative in seminars:
MR. Taysir Zomlot – Director General Asalah organization is a non-profit organization that was established in 2002 working in the field of development, culture and Palestinian Heritage.

Mission: To support the Palestinian community through empowering women and youth in different aspects and activate their role in the development process focusing on the spreading the democratic values and gender equality.

Objectives:
1. Spreading the culture of volunteerism in the Palestinian society.
2. Empowering women and giving them a space where they can express their opinions freely.
3. Giving women job opportunities by supporting their hand crafts and productions.
4. To contribute to raising the level of democracy and human rights in the Palestinian community. Civitas aims to achieve the following goals:

• Achieving social change through leadership development among new generations.

Al Mortaqa Foundation

Al-Mortaqa Foundation was founded and registered at Jerusalem and the West Bank as a non-governmental non-profit organization in response to the urgent needs of the society especially those of the old city of Jerusalem; Al-Mortaqa offers a supportive environment where everybody work together sharing their personal growth and development issues in a process to acquire personal development skills. Regardless of the noticeable deteriorating environment accompanied by hard living situations and the obvious gap in democracy and women rights, the Foundation activities reach a wide variety of the Palestinian society within its different sections especially at East Jerusalem and many parts of West Bank. All this encouraged Al-Mortaqa Foundation members to learn assertiveness, gain selfconfidence, find ideas, gain encouragement and inspiration from the Foundation achievements.

Vision: A sovereign Palestinian society, which grants Palestinians women their basic rights, preserves their dignity, and enjoys recognition and respect.

Mission: Al-Mortaqa seeks to create a supportive environment for women and children within various components of Palestinian society that encourage educational process and empowerment with a further engagement of local and international public on the Palestinian cause especially at Jerusalem; Al-Mortaqa adopts active and in-depth mechanisms to bring about positive change through creating opportunities that reach wider areas in Palestine.

Strategic objectives:
1. To bring about positive change in regard tothe living situations of women and children.
2. To promoting learning and empower effective leadership within the women components of Palestinian society in order to enhance their situation, socially, politically, and economically.
3. To help to improve health and psychosocial situations of the most vulnerable of the Palestinian community.
4. To monitor and influence policy and legislation to ensure their safeguarding and adherence to children & women civil and social rights.
5. To bolster Al-Mortaqa capacity and its capability to achieve its objectives and mission efficiently and effectively.

Main objectives:
• Promoting Learning in a Child Friendly Environment; Development and Participation of Adolescents; and Promoting and Monitoring Children and Women’s Rights.
• Help Localities to improve health situations and create jobs.
• To promote and improve the status of women and girls in all fields, in particular Education and Community Involvement, Culture and Sports.
• Help them to acquire skill and training and assist them to be economically independent.

Ta’awon

Taawon was established in 2002. Taawon’s main activities aim to raise the awareness of young people on effective and peaceful ways to deal with conflict and to develop understanding, respect, and the ability to cooperate with others in a multicultural world. Taawon targets youth in Palestine covering the West Bank and Gaza. Ta’awon imparts ethical, moral, and philosophical insights into the process of creating peaceful social change. It also focuses its work on integrating concepts of mediation, conflict resolution and peace education in all aspects of youth lives. Through its work Ta’awon have achieved a good relationship with the universities and different youth and civil society organizations in Palestine
